Masterpieces of the Musée d'OrsayThe Musée d'Orsay is world-renowned for its exceptional collection of 19th- and early 20th-century art. The museum houses masterpieces from the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements, making it one of the most important art museums in the world. Visitors can admire works by some of the most influential artists in modern art history, including Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, Paul Gauguin, and Vincent van Gogh. Among the most famous paintings in the museum are Starry Night Over the Rhône by Vincent van Gogh, Bal du moulin de la Galette by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Olympia by Édouard Manet. These works illustrate the artistic revolution that transformed painting at the end of the 19th century. The museum also features remarkable sculptures by artists such as Auguste Rodin, displayed in the spectacular central nave of the former railway station, whose monumental architecture is itself one of the highlights of the museum.
